Although a lot of those tests are B.S. ....I feel that its difference is only slight. I split the difference between a 147 and a 115 grain 9mm and go with 124 grain.
+p adds a little extra ooomph

the 147g bullet is too big for the case, it takes upp too much space thus shorting the powder charge causing the bullet to move slower

    I would never use 147gr loads in 9mm. I far prefer 115gr or 124gr

147 grain 9mm performs phenomenally, ballistically, but some guns have trouble feeding it.

If it works, it's very effective, and recoils less than +p 124 grain loads.

    I use 124+p.

    Glock 17 147gr +p
In either fire a box using every carry mag to make sure they feed correctly
115gr range ammo worth sin any of them
Those worried about excessive wear, are you shooting the good stuff regularly? Or range ammo

I like these 1200fps bonded hollowpoints....seems they only make them in +P or 147 grain standard pressure.

I love +P .45 & 9mm. Remington makes some good ones and Gold Dot is pretty good too. I think that the 147 grain, is an example of a committee thinking, and it is a dud.

The only reason i like 147gr is because it is always subsonic. Use it exclusively when using suppressor.

Carry 115gr or 124gr -- use 124gr blazer brass at the range
