    9mm Rifle?

I thought about getting into reloading for my G19. Our local indoor range won't let you pick up brass, but I found a buddy with a pasture who says I can come shoot all I want.
    I got to thinking..
I fish a lot. But in the winter or on bad weather days, I could see myself sitting in my library reloading 9mm ammo. Now, the thought... I saw a High-point carbine on Cabela's website that shoots 9mm. Instead of reloading different sizes of ammo, I could just do 9's for Glock and the carbine.
And I saw the price was under $400 bucks.

Also, on all the ammo sites, I see an abundance of 223 ammo for AR15 and such. BUT THE THOUGHT OF $1200 BUCKS OR HIGHER FOR THAT KINDA RIFLE WILL GET ME DIVORCED..

    anyone tried the High-point?

Several years ago Marlin made the Camp 9 and the Camp 45 semi-auto carbines. The Camp 9 used Smith and Wesson 9mm magazines. I obtained a Camp 9 and added a small red dot sight from Israeli Military Industries and a sling. Since my duty gun at the time was a Smith 9 mm I had a sidearm and a carbine that used the same ammo and magazines. The Camp 9 was extremely accurate. Wish I had kept it. Too bad they were discontinued in 1999. I've thought about a Hi-Point.

My uncle had a camp carbine in 9mm. It claimed its fair share of farm vermin. It was a good rifle.

Have had quite a bit of experience with Hi points. God-awful ugly but so far have been quite reliable. Tolerances aren't to tight "think AK", but still accurate enough for plinking. Was surprised how much power can be generated from a 9mm in a carbine. Seems to be a favorite for doomsday preppers

Thought I had heard of one, but was unable to locate such a critter...That would be a fun gun...

I like the looks of that H--Point 9mm at Cabellas and the price is reasonable, maybe when the ammo situation gets back to near normal and my wife gets over the 30-06 I recently bought at Cabellas I may consider one.
