For you guys that think any handguns rounds hit HARD or like a brick, your kidding yourself. I shot a Deer this year with full power 10mm (which pisses on .40) and I thought I missed because she didnt even FLINCH. It happened to be a perfect shot so she was dead in seconds, but almost any round would have done that job with perfect placement. There is NO superior power or force between 9, 40, 45, they are all weak. So be smart and carry what you shoot best under stress, rapidly, etc. For me its 9mm. I can put all 16 rounds from my 19 in a paper plate at 15 feet shooting as fast as I can pull the trigger (harder then you think). I can shoot bullseyes all day with a .40 but time to get back on target between shots probably doubles. 9mm also happens to have the added bonus of capacity.

This! My first Glock was the 23, bought it on Friday and by Friday night had ordered the RSA, Lone Wolf barrel and some mags.

Shooting my 27 without the extensions I curl my fingers under the mag and cup my left hand under them. I was very happy with the 27's accuracy. Follow up shots are easier with the 9. If you are shooting to stop the threat? WTF the difference? So it spreads a little.............. I have a 19, 17, and 21. The 22, and 30 are on my wish list.

Yup. About 980 fps in 180 Gr. I like my 230 Gr. Fat Boy .45 at about 830 fps.

The 40sw load you picked will determine whether you'll find your gun "snappy". A lot of them are snappy as hell but there's some that are pleasant to shoot. I have some Hornady 40sw 165 FTX and some Underwood 40sw 155 XTP. The Hornady 165 slaps my hand silly but the Uw 155 produce more energy, sound like a magnum and a hard push.

Surprised the heck out of me.

    Hornady 40sw 165 FTX - 1175 fps - 506 fpe

    Uw 40sw 155 XTP - 1300 fps - 582 fpe
