It makes a huge difference on range days when shooting a lot of ammo.

Yes. Lightened the pull, and smoothed it right out. Highly recommend. All of the new Gen3 guns are now coming with the Gen 4 trigger bars, with that stupid bump. My friend just picked up a new Gen3 19...has the Gen 4 trigger bar. Nice move Glock.

Don't try filing that bump off of the Gen 4 bar. Something else about the gen3 bar is different from the gen 4 apart from the bump. I know, because I tried it. If you file that bump off, you come very close to not being able to fully depress the safety plunger. It's right on the edge.

all that bump does is force the trigger bar to ride the center of the safety plunger

Exactly...but it's that drag that creates the heavier trigger pull. Not so much the contact between that bump and the slide, but more so the force of the bar working against that bump, because the natural direction that the bar wants to move in is towards the slide. Which puts it slightly off center on the safety plunger. So what...? Glocks have functioned this way, without issue, for years and years. They fixed a problem that never existed, and made a not so great trigger worse.

AHHHH...now I get it...was wondering what that depression was all about. Maybe I'll have to go buy one for my 4G19...thanks!
