Tristar Raptor 12 gauge Shotgun First Test Run

I'm really just Blown Away! WHAT a Great all around, And Home Defense Shotgun!! Damn this thing is just Sweet!! And...only $354 for the Semi Automatic.

Took it to the range today, and ripped off 25 rounds of 00 Buck and 5 rounds of Slugs. Just simply...WOW. When I put it down at the range, couple guys, walkin by, said Nice Benelli. When I told them it was a Tri Star, they just stopped and said "What's" a Tristar? I got a feelin, there's gonna be a couple guys goin home and ordering one of these puppies.

As with All Semi-Automatic shotguns, they don't really like "Birdshot" loads till they get nice and really broke in, so I only shot Buck and Slug, which, for this gun, is all I'm interested in anyway. Just WOW.

With a 20" barrel, I was expecting some Kick. Nope. I get more recoil from my 30s!

I got to say...I really think this is the happiest I have ever been with a gun purchase. This Gun is TRULY, Sweet.

Just in case ya might want one...this is where I got mine...shipped to my FFL dealer.

Great range report! Guess you just cost me $354...thanks.

About time to trade up though, my only shotty is an $80 maverick pump that came with $30 worth of ammo.

Congrats on new purchase! Im not sure how any shotgun can be that impressive after a box of shells but you sure make it sound good! Should serve your purpose well. Ive hunted with the same H&K Benelli for 20 years. Its been amazing through over 10k rounds in some serious harsh conditions, frozen, sand, ice, submerged with practically no cleaning and I dont think im as excited as you! Cant beat a new gun.

    Well Shooter,

Truth be known...I haven't pulled the trigger on a shotgun since 1971. And THAT gun was a Savage semi Auto 12 gauge that was probably 12 years old. I went Pheasant huntin with that gun in Illinois. Got some nice birds with that gun back then. Had a Wire Haired Pointing Griffion, Huntin dog...Mr. Mike...(Stories)

    ANYWAY
...It's a cool Home defense weapon man. I am just seriously impressed with the precision, recoil, capacity, AND...Price. AND, I can get a 28" barrel for it if I want to do...Bird.

    Cool Mr. Truck.

It's a really Great shot gun that has Many different potentials. I just wanted it as a 20" home defense shotgun. Just remember...Look inside the box. It tells ya, "Ya need to break the gun in with buckshot and slug." THAT is all I want to use anyway!
