I gave up shooting .40 S&W only some years ago.
My favourite calibers remain 9mm and .45 ACP.

The skinny German woman who manages the gun department at Rural King prefers .40. She's a recoil junkie. Women that shoot .40 are more fun!

I think MSP ordered smith and wesson M&P45 pistol.
Vermont state police ordered same guns.

My local PD recently switched from 40 to 9mm (both SIG P226)

CT State police recently switched from 40 to 45 (SIG P226 to SIG P220)

The agency where i work went from 9mm to 45 (Beretta 92 to SIG P220)

Not sure where the logic is in any of that...trading 12-15rds for 8rds is making a statement
    Gen 3 Glocks: 23, 29, 30
    Gen 4 Glocks: 17, 19, 21, 26, 34, 43

    Would like to add: G17L, G20, G40, G41 (not sure why...just because)

Besides, the recoil of a .40 at standard pressure doesn't really feel any worse than that of +p 124 grain 9mm in the same platform.

    Pros and cons.

I may switch back some day, but not on this date.
