    G30S issue

I just bought a G30S which has 10 rounds mags. Unfortunately, it will not accept a fully loaded mag without my having to force to mag into the gun. When I do this the top round hits the inside of the slide and it visibly dents the case along it's length. It will only function properly with nine rounds in the mag. Any ideas? I do intend to call Glock support about this issue.

It's due to the new springs in the mags. Load em up and put them away for about a week, I do this with all my new mags, After that the springs should have loosened up enough to insert into your pistol.

Thanks for your input. I had not thought of that as I have never experienced that problem with any new mags. I will certainly give it a try. Thanks again!

I have the same issue with my G-37. I just load the gun with 10 rounds. I don't do 10 +1 with this particular gun.

My 27 mags were so tight that you had to cram the mag in the gun also. I never noticed if it dented the brass or not. Like suggested just fill them up the best you can and leave them full for a while. Shooting the gun will naturally break them in also. My 30 sf I do not recall being as bad as the 27 but I'm sure it was tough also. My 19 gen 4 mags all load to max capacity easily.

I just bought a 30s. That's pretty typical with the .45 guns. The mag springs will loosen in time. I've always been able to muscle in all of the rounds, +1 without denting casings though. Put your big boy pants on and slam that bad boy home. Don't worry, you're not going to hurt anything. I ran 1, 000 rnds through it over the weekend. All with +1 and I had zero issues. I also have a 9 rnd mag that seats flush in the gun. That was a bugger to get the +1, but after running it a few times, no issues there either.

My 30sf seemed to have an issue failing to completely return to battery until the trigger was released to the reset point. It was a sweet gun otherwise but I just couldn't keep it while it did that. I traded it to my brother in law and he said while he had it the didn't seem to have the issue. Maybe it liked to be greased up more than what I did or something. I would like another Glock 45 but would go would shy away from the 30sf.
