I also used grip tape on mine. No doing anything permanent to mine in case I dislike it in the end.

I just stippled an aftermarket shotgun stock and like how it came out alot. Eventually when the "new" wears off the glock I may stipple it.
Haven't even looked into how stippling is done Could you clue me in?

Alot of people use soldering irons, I used a wood burning kit which came in a kit and came with a few different tips. I used the pointed end that resembled a pin. You don't need anything fancy, I watched a YouTube video of a guy who purchased an expensive kit so he can "control" the heat, it's really not necessary. On the glock if your going to do the grip area on the frame alot of people recomend sanding the stock stiples or bumps to great a flat surface to apply your stipples on. That's what makes me nervouse. I see guys with small hands do it and call it grip reduction to get rid of the finger grooves on the frame and just stipple it. Not only is the grip smaller but it's resurfaced basically with grip via stippling.
All your doing it small dots close together in rows, I tested random dots on a poly dry box and I like the pattern more uniform. I just did all the dots and when I took a break I saw where the dots weren't as close and uniform as I liked so that's when I went back and added some on the lines where I messed up spacing ect. Can't even tell. I will post more pics if the finished stock and the stippling up close when I get home.
Thanks Quakerbarrel looks really time consuming but I'm sure it's worth it, and probably looks more professional too.
