I had a Plano dry box that I tested all the different size tips on, the only one you basically need is the pointy pin like one. I tried just randomly making dots which makes for a more aggressive grip but looks alittle less uniform, then I made rows of dots which is what you see in the picture. After I got used to it I found this old shotgun stock I had and it's basically the same polymer of the glock and I'm going to continue doing this. I may even do some sanding with a Dremel at the end of the stock just to see what grit wheels work best.
Eventually if I do the glock grip you have to sand the stock grips stipple dots in order to have a blank slate and so your own. It shouldn't have to to perfect and completely flat and smooth but enough to make a surface for you to add your own grip design to it. That's where I get nervouse.
