I currently own or have shot most of the CCW pistols you listed. The Bersa 380 is the sexiest, but the Glock 42 is more accurate in my hands. I tried to dislike the Springfield, but it is excellent. However, it has more moving parts and I would not substitute it for a 42. He made the right choice.

Good to know! Thanks! I'm making my hubby take me out to shoot it this afternoon at his parent's property.

I bought a Flashbang Betty holster for my G42 and love it. It's a very minimalist design so it's very thin. The nice thing about this holster is the cant is totally adjustable. Very inexpensive too. Don't know why Flashbang markets this holster towards women because it's just as good for men as it is for women. My wife had one and I liked it so much that I bought one for myself. Think you'll like it.

How the laser fits on your gun depends on the manufacturer and the model. Lasers add less than a ounce... basically 2 watch batteries and some plastic.. For my Glock 23 & 19... it fits on the back of the grip and shines down the right side of the slide. Comes on the second I put my hand on the grip... turns off when I release the grip. Works with any holster. With with my LCP, it mounts around the trigger guard. The free Crimson Trace DVD & catalog would answer a lot of your questions. you would like one a heck of a lot better than night sights. And Crimson trace will supply free batteries to you every year for as long as you own the laser. My last set lasted almost 2 yrs.. but CT will send them yearly. You get about 4 hours run time to a set of batteries. That is a heck of a long time. You can practice with the laser & show it off to all your friends and still have more than enough battery power for well over a year. Green lasers use more power and last about 1/2 that time.

You can also get a model of laser that replaces your factory guide rod. You active those by a simple press on your slide 'take down' release.

You can't blame people for wanting to protect themselves, as they see the reality of law enforcement: that law is enforced only after the law shows up. That can be a problem if you're already dead.” Greg Gutfeld / Fox News
