So how do you know whether it's a 51% place or not?

if there is any problems or you are not sure then you can go to the TABC.com and look the place up. they have to report sales of alcohol. on the web site to can report a business if they are not selling over 51% but posting a sign as if they where or look a place up before you go.... under public inquiry

    TABC Home Page

and then there is the Taxas3006.com which lists all the places that guns are banned or not posted correctly it has to be in 1 inch block lettering and in English and Spanish and contrasting colors

Whew, I thought you might have to do an audit before entering a place

I went to the hospital today and they had a gun buster sign on the door but it wasn't the right sign under Texas law so I carry on in

Since Buncombe co. require letters from the two closest Psych hospitals they have also been swamped also. Was waiting for things to calm down. If I lived in neighboring Madison co.,, my wait time would be about two weeks
That is why I am glad I am in Madison County, we just have to turn in the paperwork, they run a check and we get our permit within an hour usually, same for purchase permit, I turned in the paperwork as a walk-in, and before I could pay the $5, they had my permit ready for me.

seriously thought about claiming residency in Granville county where my brother lives. Their wait time is like yours. but that would be illegal.......

I just don't see the point of open carry in areas other than rural, sparsely populated areas. Not trying to change any minds or laws, just see too many minuses, which out-weigh the pluses.

I guess because I could.... I have jury duty next week. If I could wear it in the courthouse, I would.
