    Waldo Canyon Fire

I haven't been around much in the last couple of weeks as the Waldo Canyon Fire grew and disrupted life.

My house is about 10 miles east of the fire and was never in any danger. When the wind shifted, we did get heavy smoke and ash, but otherwise nothing too bad.

My office was evacuated in the early hours of the fire, so it's been a madhouse trying to work and I haven't had much time to enjoy the forum

Here are some pics I took from my front porch, along with other good pics I found from local residents:

I hope your place stays safe and they are able to get these fires under control soon. This is devastating to so many family's.

    Thanks, ZK.

They've made great strides since last Tuesday and it's now 70% contained. The first of the more than 1,500 firefighters are beginning to leave now. Keeping fingers crossed and praying for rain (without all the wind and lightning!).
