Glock 42 Upgrades/Repairs

mine is most recent with upgrades it likes any ammo, i like golden sabers (they feel hotter). all ammo has worked.

Update on my Glock 42 after factory replaced internal parts and mags and repairs.
Total FMJ 450 rounds
Total JHP 218 rounds
Total 668

Since repair
FMJ 100 rounds
JHP 114 rounds
Shot it normal two handed, single handed and thumb, finger and trigger finger hold without any problems.
Whatever repairs Glock did eliminated all the problems and I find this .380 both an excellent pocket pistol for EDC and fun to shoot. Hope this lasts.
Next is to shoot some reload and see it will feed that.

I just picked up my new G 42 on Sunday, and thanks to the good info here, I looked inside and found all the -1 parts. With barely a box of mixed ammo through mine, I have been very pleased with the feel, performance, and accuracy.

I picked up the G42 about a week ago and was reading the posts. Checked out my weapon and found a 1 on the parts. Took it out today a ran 400+ rounds of various brands of FMJ and HP's with no problems. I tried US and foreign made ammo. The little Glock will eat anything so far.

Great post...though it had me worried. I just picked up a G42 a couple of days ago and had heard of some of the problems. I was not sure if I had an older or upgraded model. To my relief it looks like it is an upgraded model. What I also noticed was on the frame there is a 2 stamped. Guess this means they have upgraded the design a second time. Have not fired it yet, going today. Will post any problems or not...

I just got my G42 back from Glock about two weeks ago. Over weekend took it to range and ran 150 rounds of 100 gr Freedom Munitions through it. Had three magazines run without a hitch , and i smiled. Then for the rest of the magazines i was getting 75% Failure to Feed. Monday is President's Day so Tuesday I will call them to see If they can take it back a second time. I don't have a clue. I could try to polish feed ramp, but I doubt the problem can be solved that simple. If it comes back and continues to fail. I might ask Glock if they could replace this one with a newer produced model. If not i will sell it off. I have other firearms, but i really want this one to work well.
