Elderly Florida Man Shoots Fleeing Thief And May Have Ruined His Own Life

A man was shot multiple times Saturday after allegedly attempting to break into an “elderly” couple’s home and vehicle, according to the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident unfolded shortly before 11 p.m. when the couple’s dog started barking inside their Van Arsdale Street home, alerting them to the break in, said Sheriff’s Office Lt. Dwayne Kvalheim.

The husband, who is in his 70s or 80s, looked out a window and saw a man trying to break into his vehicle, officials said.

He grabbed a gun and confronted the suspect,

Shooting someone's a big deal. It better be worth it, if you're going to try to kill a man.

Fleeing is the keyword here. Shooting someone in the back are not going to sit well with the jury.

It may be different here in Texas. IIRC we are allowed to shoot someone who's fleeing with our property or leaving the scene of the crime after committing it.
How do I feel? I'm wooden thank you.
