When stopped (and it has been years) I keep my hands on top of the steering wheel after having rolled down my window and if at night (which it was) turn on the interior light and wait for the Officer to approach the vehicle. When he is at the window I told him I am legally armed and where the gun was loacated and then after he asked for my drivers license i reached for my license and CCW. If I would not have been armed (not much chance of that) I would still have informed him that I have a CCW because in Texas when an Officer calls in your drivers license for wants and warrants he will be informed that you have a CCW.

Only a Biker knows why a Dog hangs his head out the window.

Ditto...^^^...not really rocket science, and some take issue with it, but it's an exercise in common sense, and helps keep you safe...
