Jeez, he even used a Biden-approved defensive weapon...maybe if he shot from his porch as instructed...

Guess Massachusetts has adopted the, "bend over and take it like a man," stance on everything since legalizing same sex marriage. But for acting in self-defense, Ahlstrand is now charged with illegally killing a bear, illegally baiting a bear, illegal possession of a firearm and failing to secure a weapon.

saw this on the local news. when interviewed the guy mentioned something about a bird feeder attracting the bear. where the bird feeded was and what was in it was not mentioned either. not takiong anyone's side but i don't know all the facts yet.
Leave it to Mass to protect an animal over human life. I live with bears on a daily basis, and the town I live in has an ordinance against bird feeders, but they still look for trash. We have so many bears ( even with tons of hunting) that seeing one is a ho hum experience....excites the tourists though. Several of us in our neighborhood take turns standing with the school kids in the A.M. just to keep watch. We recently warned a NCWRC officer that one big male was being kind of aggressive and if we had to we would take him out. He chimed off a response, then said, "do what you have to do".

When you live in bear country you have to hake percussions and this guy violated the rules. He knows better
