Honestly, it doesn't sound like anything special. Reads like the description of the average AR that you can get from PSA that is good quality and has a $450ish price point. Taurus doesn't have a great reputation in the community, so they better have a great price tag to even get in the market in a relevant way.

They should make AK-47s instead. A lightweight with milled receiver might get some attention. Otherwise, they are just another AR.

Can you imagine the market if people stuck with some kind of specialty? Remember when S&W had awesome quality wheel guns? Remember when Colt was the go-to for ARs, 1911s, revolvers, etc. now we have too many companies trying to be "jack of all trades" but are really "masters of none"

Colt is all but out of business, S&W revolvers are shit (especially with the internal lock), Colt's once AWESOME revolvers are no more, Colt ARs are pretty much middle of the road at best (with premium prices)

I'm not sure if taurus EVER did anything great...not expecting much other than adding to an already flooded market

I hope that they live up to the hype; a barrel life of 10, 000 rounds sounds good, but a mean stoppage rate of 1 per 10,000 rounds? I don't know, I have never been so lucky.
(I have had beat up M-16's that jammed on every magazine, but they were worn out, to be fair.)
