I shot the Star 1911 in 9MM. But being old school, 1911's were made for the .45 ACP. I own three and can't contemplate owning a 1911 in 9MM. That would be like owning a muscle car and dropping in a 4 cylinder engine for the gas mileage.

I can't figure out why anyone would want to use a 1911 in 9MM. If you will only use it to punch holes in paper, I'd suggest a 1911 with .22 conversion kit. That way you can go back and forth between .22 and .45 ACP. Star used to make a 1911 in 9MM. In fact in movies before 1990 most 1911 used were the Star in 9MM. It feed the blank rounds better than .45 ACP.
