If it was actually a Gen1, the last two sales that I am aware of (both private sales) sold for over $20,000. This gun is not a Gen1 though.

Very few were ever made and most of what was made we’re turned in for Gen2s and destroyed.
Glock only made the 17, 17L and 19 with the Gen1 frame. The earliest model 19s were actually 17 frames cut down to sub-compact size.
You tell what Gen a Glock is by the frame. On the left is a Gen1 17 frame. It has a consistent pebbled finish covering the entire grip. On the right is a Gen2 frame. It has a front and back strip with a rough texture and the pebble only on the sides.

That’s actually a Gen2. It is the first generation that Glock made the G20. But the G20, like the majority of Glock’s guns, were originally built on the second generation frame - RTF texture on the front and back straps.
2nd Gen was always my favorite and the G20 (and 29) are awesome guns!!!

It's definitely a Gen2 but that doesn't change anything related to value because the are no Gen1s - it's still the first frame one of Glock's greatest pistols, the G20, was ever built on. Of all the other 10mm that were developed around that time, none of them come close to the G20.
Just before COVID, I added a Gen3 G20c and G21c - they are amazing shooters!

If you email them the serial number they will tell you the import date or mfg date, if it was made in the US.
Registering is just registering - that process doesn’t provide additional information about the gun.
