Hello to everyone, yesterday I purchased my second glock, the first one was a 19x.
On the G26 I'm having jamming problems and after some investigation I noticed that the G26 is 1mm higher on this part of the slide than the 19x and beside the obvious total length difference the other measurement are equal. And seeing how the bullets are marked, I think that there's a fabrication mistake there.

I was wondering if anyone with a G26 gen 5 could measure their so I could compare it to mine to si if that's the actual problem. Thanks

The ammo used was my own reloads and I never had a single jam on my 19x

Is this a "new" weapon ?

Have you tried cycling a few factory rounds through it to see if it marks them as well ?

Yes I did and yes it does, that's why a need someone to measure their own g26

The measurement may satisfy your curiosity but it sounds like it needs to go back to Glock.

I gave my Gen5 to my niece and haven't replaced it yet. I see the concern re: the marks on the rounds, that doesn't look good. However, I'm not sure that is the cause of the jams. Looking at the picture, it looks like the round failed to move up the face of the slide, behind the extractor.

The portion you are measuring's job is to strip the round out of the magazine. As the round enters the barrel and the barrel begins to tilt back up - the back of round has to slide up the face of the slide and behind the extractor. The extractor is pushed outwards as this happens. If something inhibits the movement of the extractor or prevents the rim of the casing from getting behind it, the gun will jam.

With a new Glock, this could simply being the fit of the parts is tight and the finish needs to wear a little bit. Typically, this goes away somewhere around 200/250 rounds. If you have put more than that through the gun, it's likely something other than just needing a bit of wear. Carbon buildup behind the extractor can cause the issue. It should be taken apart and inspected. I'm assuming you haven't changed any parts related to the extractor/depressor plunger or bearing.

Jamming aside, I would email Glock support with your photos and see what they say about the height difference. [email protected] What's actually causing the jam may not matter if they have to replace the slide.

Did you try different bullet weights? I asked Massoud about jamming in two G-43s we had and he told me to go to a heavier, slower bullet. The lighter, faster bullets cycled the action too fast. No problems thereafter. Granted, my experience with the G26 is limited (I moved up to a G27 soon after and then barreled it to 357 Sig and never looked back). The friend who bought it reports no problems.

Maybe try another recoil spring?

From the image it appears the round has not risen to the claw yet, agree with your assessment if the rim had advanced that high, looks like a stoppage before it gets to the extractor ?

The drag marks may be from the ramp of the barrel due to the round not seating properly.
