As the round enters the barrel and the barrel begins to tilt back up - the back of round has to slide up the face of the slide and behind the extractor. The extractor is pushed outwards as this happens
From the image it appears the round has not risen to the claw yet, agree with your assessment if the rim had advanced that high, looks like a stoppage before it gets to the extractor ?

The drag marks may be from the ramp of the barrel due to the round not seating properly.
