New here and already looking for advice.
Just bought a 19 Gen 4 and haven't been out to shoot it yet. Is there anything I should do before shoting? I swabbed the barrel with a dry cloth just to check. Looked good. It rained today so I didn't get to go to the range, going out at first light tommorrow.

It’s a good start to check the gun out before shooting it. While you’re waiting for range time goes over the rules of safe shooting. Nothing kills a fun day of shooting like an accident

Hello and welcome. Just like guru said, check it over, observe the range rules then fire away. No oiling required for these finely tuned perfect machines!! :)
