Wasn't sure if this should go here or talk and discussion because these are actual prices of glocks for sale in mass now. These prices are from the biggest and best gun store in mass. Four seasons guns. Thought it may be interesting to show what a mass resident has to pay to legally buy a glock here. Glock 23 799.95 glock 21 699.95 glock 17 699.95 glock 26 749.95 glock 22 599.95. And keep in mind all these guns had to be manufactured before 10/21/98. New glocks are illegal in mass except for leo's. So consider yourself lucky if you live in a place where new glocks are available at normal prices.

it hard to wrap our head around things like the price of a used gun so high. I made a comment on the price of ammo the other day and didn't realize that might be a good price in a state with high restrictions. Some of us live where there are little or none so it makes sellers more completive

I'm truly blessed and fortunate to be on the other end of the spectrum...I've said it before, and I'll say it again, we forget how good we have it sometimes when some of our brothers (and sisters) are having a rough time just owning a firearm, in such restrictive areas. I have some family there, 1jimmy, and I know exactly what you're talking about...

legal recourse is non existent here, its against the law for the nra to lobby here and the only other one we have is called goal, gun owners action league and they gave it a half-as__ed challenge and gave up. ammo prices are not too bad i use dicks as a rule. 9mm $14 38 and 380 $18 40 $19 45 $22 but 357 mag and 10mm about $28 all per box of fifty.

I would imagine that in there would be no legal recourse in MA but how is it illegal for the NRA to lobby there?

don't have an answer for that one except my lgs owner for 30+ years and retired leo told me that. if i had to guess it probably has something to do with the attorney general. example, glocks are approved for sale in mass by law on the public safety list, however the attorney general put out a regulation saying no glocks period. maybe she has the power to regulate the nra within the state. i will ask my lgs towards the end of the week the hows and whys of this.

yes, mikecu anything you own which is legal where your coming from is legal here provided you move here.

kj4963, if your glocks were made prior to 10/21/98 you can.

asked the question today of lgs owner, he didn't know why but its been like that for years, was his answer. given his 30 years in business and 30 as a leo i will accept that. the only other place you might try is the nra themselves.

This is the only thing I have found that Limits the NRA in MA.
Under state law, out-of-state Political Action Committees wishing to give to state candidates must organize a separate Massachusetts PAC and keep funds in a separate bank account.

Also, the federal or out-of-state PAC can’t transfer funds into the Massachusetts account, meaning in-state support for the PAC would be crucial. A listing of PACs on the state website did not appear to contain any organizations affiliated with the NRA.
