At the last Advanced Armorer's class I took, I was the only person there who was not a member of an SF unit, they declined to identify what they were other than they were Army. They had taken the basic armorer's course the day before and were going straight through the Advanced course prior to deployment with Glocks.

On a side note, I didn't start out as the only civilian in the class, the instructor actually sent two guys home after a couple of hours - he didn't feel they were prepared for the course.

I (we) have at least eight ranging in size from 9mm and 10mm. Once we learned to use a heavier bullet in the G43s, we've had no problems (The lighter, faster loads cycle the slide too fast and can cause stove-piping= Learned that from Massoud). My EDC is a G27 converted to 357 Sig and shoots 1.5" groups at 10 yards all day. Wife has 2 GS-43s: one in her purse and one in her nightstand.

I am skeptical of all the talk people are ditching Glocks. Whether true or not, I can only speak for myself- I carried, shot, and trained with Glocks exclusively for 16 years. About 6 years ago I started training on a DA/SA platform and switched over just because I liked it a lot, and I could. Switching off between DA/SA and striker gun from day to day would be an unwise practice IMHO, if not dangerous. Nevertheless, I never got rid of a single Glock. They are exceedingly tried and true: I have no motive to part with them. I even have two Gen5's that I liked enough to buy new after I switched over. In terms of carrying, there are limited circumstances in which I will put a Glock back on. Or I still may rotate it in for the EDC piece for an extended period.

I am very skeptical, I know that I’m not giving up my second Gen. 10 mm or my 43x. I love the way each of them shoot. I have owed the G20 since the 80’s and it has never jammed, miss fired. It will jam if you’re not holding it tight, the pistol counts on you to hold it tight enough that the casing will eject properly.

It's a question of sales statistics. All things being equal, there would be more Glock returns because there are more Glocks sold. The question is, is the number of Glocks being returned higher than would be expected according to sales?

I'm sure that there are the other factors mentioned in this thread as well.

I am going to be browsing and not commenting much going forward, I seem to hurt peoples feelings as I’ve been banned from Glock Talk.
