I recently purchased a new Glock 23 gen 3 (my first) and have put about 900 rounds through it so far. I noticed that I have a little wear starting on the right side of the barrel just forward of the breach where some of the tenifer appears to be rubbing off. The pictures show a copper color but I could not get the lighting correct. Is this normal?

It's normal for the finish to wear. Tennifer is the salt bath nitriding process that hardens the metal, it's not the finish.

All is well. But, don't forget your lube points!
