What would you do if armed terrorists broke into your church and started attacking your friends with automatic weapons in the middle of a worship service?

Would you be prepared to defend yourself and other innocents?

Would you be justified in doing so?

Is it time for church-goers to consider such once-unthinkable possibilities?

There is one man in the world who can address these questions with first-hand experience.
His name is Charl van Wyk, yes it's me - a South African who was faced with just such a shocking scenario.

In "Shooting Back: The Right and Duty of Self-Defense," I makes a Biblical, Christian case for individuals arming themselves with guns, and does so more persuasively than perhaps any other author because I found myself in a church attacked by terrorists.

I would love you to look for this book. You will surely blessed. ‘Shooting Back’ is a wonderful book describing the right as a Christian to carry a concealed weapon for protection of yourself and others. It is backed by Scripture and has a word for word description of an actual situation where having a pistol, clearly saved the lives of many. It is a book that should be read by believers and non-believers. I’m giving FREE Kindle DOWNLOAD until Sunday, Nov 11th.

I do not have a Kindle so will not be able to download, but I do carry a handgun everywhere I go and feel justified in so doing. If I come across your book elsewhere I would be interested in reading it.

Like texcowboy said, I carry everywhere I go always. Except of course government buildings, airport, etc. We went to the movies a couple of weeks ago, afternoon showing. My better half asked me, do you have your gun? I said are you kidding? You already know the answer to that! :)

I carry at church and would not hesitate to return fire. I was asked by a few people to carry during service. If you had told me twenty years ago that this day would come, I would have called you a liar.
You are so right! My, have times changed!!

yep...I'm ready, (or at least I'd like to think I am) and I'm not the only one in my church who is...wouldn't want to have to...especially in church...but as we've witnessed more than once in this country, churches aren't exempt from violence, or from those who wish to bring it...

Incredible story...
And just a note to say that I appreciate what you do, and the call upon your life...I also know that the biggest predator you face is not just the lion, but the one who goes about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour...1Peter 5:8......Stay strong...! :D

My girlfriend and I were in church a month or so back and there was this guy with a back pack sitting alone in the corner acting weird. I have to say my girlfriend is the one who noticed him and she fellt very uncomfortable, once it was brought to my attention I noticed another guy standing behind me and to the left. He kept looking at the guy so now I thought these two were together. The guy behind me noticed me noticing him and he IDed himself as one of the ushers (he was new) and told me they were keeping an eye on the guy in the corner. Once my girl figured this out she wanted to go.....so needless to say we left. Long story short nothing happened but you never know when something can happen.

Just thought I would share.
