No Glock yet, but my wife works for the state crime lab and they carry Gen 3 Glocks. They are in the process of replacng her G23 with the new Gen 4 G23. So, once she is issued the new gun, we can purchase her gen 3 for $300. Needless to say, it is a no-brainer. I currently own a Ruger 10-22 rifle and a Taurus .357 2 1/4" barrel revolver. Patiently waiting to get my hands on her Glock!

Thanks for the welcome. I am excited to find this place as I have never owned anything other than the 2 guns mentioned in the first post. I have barely even fired a pistol with a magazine in it. So, I plan on learning a lot from you guys before I get hot and heavy in shooting this thing. may even take a gun education course just to be informed. Word is the new Glocks have arrived and are being fit and tested prior to issue, so crossing my fingers that I have a Glock soon. She is a lab rat and has really only shot it for practice and qualifying on an annual basis. She has only worn it when working 4-5 crime scenes per year, so it is essentially a brand new gun. Can't wait.

Hey Hop. I saw your post on the other thread but I didn't want to hijack it. You may want to look into what the real value is of a 10 year old Glock 23. I'm thinking that with a new Gen3 being only around 430-450 that 300 bucks for a 10+ year old gun may be a little high comparatively to what you can buy from a dealer. Just my opinion.

Not really zombiekiller, guns dont wear themselves out with out being fired. I had a 1911 with uppwards of 100,000 rds. through it and trusted my life to it. It is no less accurate or reliable now than when I put the first round through it. So IMHO that glock is worth as much as one sitting on the shelf brand new.

You get it yet Hops?

Yeah $300 is an excellent price especially since you know it hasn't been used and abused.

Because I am retired military I was able to get the Glock 23 gen4 last month at a LGS for $400, the same price FLE pays. I was undecided on Glock or Sig at that point but when I found out I could get the Glock for half the price of the Sig it was a no-brainer at that point. Don't regret it either. Had a great time at the range a couple of weeks ago.

When you get the Glock be sure to come back here and let us know.
