Hi guys, just bought a lightly used g23 gen3 for 350 from a local pawn shop. I know I know no pawn shops right, thats what I thought but imo these people sell themselves short. I am curious as to what you guys think about the sell price and also about a good concealment holster outside waistband. thanks in advance.

I've bought several guns from pawn shops and have no issues with shopping there. If you check out the gun before you buy, and know what you are willing to pay, then they can be a great value. I wouldn't say they sell themselves, short, thought. Many charge more for used than new gun prices-that's why it's important to know the specs on the gun and pricing before you buy. $350 sounds like a great price-did this gun include the box and all accessories? If so, then you did very well, IMO. I recently bought a couple of used police trade-in G23's for near what you paid for yours.

It did not have a case but did come with 4 mags. I dont like the cases, because I have a gun safe and really no room to spare for unused cases. My guns are usually just for my own pleasure and protection with no plan to resell, so to me the cases are not a deal breaker if the weapon is in good shape.

Good price. I look in Pawn Shops all the time for used guns. As long as you know what you are looking for and can accpet a less than perfect condition gun, pawn shops offer excellent places to shop for bargains.

I just think that for a run of the mill glock the difference in new and next to new is not worth another 200-300 dollars. Especially considering I'm gonna shoot the crap out of it anyway. It's like buying a hotrod to be a trailer queen vs getting one to enjoy for what it is.

I would not hesitate to buy a used Glock from a Pawn Shop if the price were right. It seems like around here the asking price is usually high and you have to really negotiate to get them down.

There are pawn shops in VA that have gun sales as a major and advertised portion of their business. I have shopped in some, never bought but would not hesitate to do so for the right deal. I think especially if they sell a lot of guns, they are probably as good as any other gun shop. I think it could even be an advantage, since guns are not the only thing they have to make money from.

I bought a complete craftsman metric master tool set from the same pawn shop for $40 and when I say complete I mean like almost 200 pieces. I get good deals there when I catch someone coming in to sell and jump right in to making a deal, they love that quick money for them.

Have you looked at a Bersa Thunder .380?...I own one, bought it for my wife. It looks like WALTHER PPK...James bond lookalike.

Good luck in finding your .380...:)

hey javery5.0 good price. I too have no problem with getting a good deal from a pawn shop. As to your other question about OWB concealment holsters. If you are planning to wear a shirt out at the waist then there are some half cut high rise leathers on the market that are good similar to this...

I always keep one laying around in case I have a need
