Has anyone has any mill work done to their G30s slide? I was all set to have some done by a buddy who does it but then I found a different company that wouldn't do the 30s or the 36(which have the same slide). Is it because they're slimmer by design? Does anyone have any knowledge on any of this? I was hoping to do some work to include an rmr but I'm worried now. Please help. Thanks.

Not worth the effort or the cost.
Just buy another 'brand' of gun with a slimmer slide.

p.s.
they wouldn't do it because you can only mill so much at which point it effects structural integrity then your family try's to sue them after the gun blows up in your face.

That might be true too. Why not call em back and ask them "Why?"

I've got 2 30s's and I actually thought of putting an RMR on one of them. What changed my mind was, I got to hold and check out a G19 that had one on, and after all my years of looking down iron sites, I found it really hard to find the red dot. I'm sure I could retrain, but I just decided not to. I sure don't see any reason it couldn't be done. Try a couple other companies.
